Can I include merit points in my American grade point average?

No. In the US, everyone takes the same types of courses during high school, and there are no credit points.

How is an American grade point average (GPA) calculated?

How is a calendar year divided in college?

It depends on what sport or activity you are involved in. Generally, college follows an academic year with fall and spring semesters, and some also offer summer courses.

Is it necessary to study four years of college?

No, you decide how long you want to stay. You can take one semester at a time and change your plans during the trip.

Can I choose which specialization or major I want to study?

Yes! At college, you are accepted to the school, not to a specific program. This means you can freely choose between the school's different specializations.

What does the SAT test entail?

The SAT is the American equivalent of the college entrance exam. The test is used for admission to athletic scholarships at the NCAA and NAIA, among other things. However, this is no longer a requirement at most schools.

How academically demanding is the education?

Anyone who wants to can make it through college. There are different levels and support, and the programs are designed to help students succeed.

How long is a college education in the USA?

A bachelor's degree normally takes four years, but you can set your own pace and sometimes finish sooner. Scholarships usually cover four years of study.

Is it possible to start college studies during the spring semester?

What is a TOEFL/DUOLINGO test and when is it needed?

TOEFL & DUOLINGO are tests that measure your English skills and are a requirement for international students who want to study in the USA.

What subjects or programs can you study at college?

The possibilities are many! You can choose from a variety of subject areas and programs.

Do you advance between divisions?

No. Your school belongs to a specific division, and the goal is to become the champion of that division.

How do I make a highlight video?

A good highlight video should showcase your best skills and abilities from matches/competitions where you stand out.

Can I go pro even if I go to college?

Yes, college is a common path to professional sports. There are no straight paths, but college provides valuable experience and exposure.

How good is the level of football?

The level of football is high, with many players who have strong experience from club and national team level.

What UTR ranking should I have as a tennis player?

UTR requirements vary between schools and divisions, but generally you need a ranking that places you in the upper end of the junior scene.

How fast do I have to swim to get a scholarship?

The requirement varies depending on the level and college, but generally requires times that are in the upper end of national junior rankings.

How are you assessed in golf?

Golfers are assessed primarily based on their tournament results, handicaps, average score and performances during the season.

How good do I need to be at T&F to get a scholarship?

T&F scholarships are based on performance in competitions, records, and coaches' assessment of your potential.

Can I be recruited to another college?

If you do well and choose to apply for a Transfer, it is absolutely possible. Have helped many players in that situation before.

How is the football season?

What different scholarships are there?

There are academic scholarships, sports scholarships, and scholarships for international students.

Can my scholarship be reduced?

Yes, it is possible, but most of the time it only happens if you don't follow the rules or misbehave.

How much scholarship can I get?

The amount varies depending on performance and school. Through an individual evaluation, you can get an estimate of your possibilities.

How difficult is it to get a full scholarship?

It is challenging, but far from impossible. Full scholarships are awarded, but they are uncommon and require high performance both academically and athletically.

Can I get more scholarships over the years?

Yes! In all divisions except NCAA D3, the scholarship can be increased over the years if your performance justifies it.

Apart from the school fees, are there any other costs?

In addition to school fees, there are basically only costs for school books, pocket money for everyday expenses, your plane tickets, and insurance.

What costs do I have before I go?

Before you leave, you may need to factor in application fees, visa costs and travel. It is a good idea to plan for this in advance.

Why do you pay the fee to EAS before you go?

U.S. athletic association rules require that the fee be paid in advance. If you use an agency that charges after the fact and the association finds out, you risk being suspended as an athlete.

What is included in the EAS service?

EAS will help you with everything we can and are allowed to help you with, from applying to college to scholarships and practical preparation.

Can I cover all costs with Government aid?

This depends on what country you are from and what they can offer. But in the Nordics, the athletes we work with have the opportunity to finance their costs through this, yes.

Can I reduce my college costs over the years?

Yes, there are opportunities to reduce costs during your studies, for example through scholarships, campus jobs or budgeting.

What does a typical day look like for a student-athlete?

A student-athlete combines training, matches, and studies every day. The days are well-planned and often intense, with time for both academic tasks and sports.

How do you live in college?

Most live in dorms on campus, which makes it easy to participate in activities and be close to training and classes.

What is campus life like?

Campus life is social and engaging, with many activities, clubs and events in addition to studies and training.

Where do you eat in college?

Meals are most often offered in on-campus dining halls, with various menus and options included in the school's meal plan.

How do I deal with insurance?

Many scholarships include American insurance. We also recommend having insurance at home, which costs around 400–500 Euro per semester.

What happens if I get injured?

You keep your scholarship and get help with rehabilitation. If you miss an entire season, you can get an extra year of competition.
