Behind Elite Athlete Scholarships is Raby George, a former college athlete and one of the Nordic region’s most experienced professionals in college recruitment. Since 2016, he has supported hundreds of athletes on their journey to college in the USA, with a strong focus on long-term development, both athletically and academically.

EXPERIENCE THAT MAKES A DIFFERENCE:
Raby George’s own athletic journey began at Hammarby IF FF and continued at Syrianska FC, where the team progressed from Superettan to Allsvenskan. He then made his debut in Sweden’s top football division before deciding to pursue both studies and football in the USA.

The motivation to pursue college arose from the realization of how vulnerable an athletic career can be without an educational foundation. The opportunity to combine elite sports with academic studies thus became a strategic and long-term choice.

Raby played four years for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in NCAA Division I, one of the USA’s top college soccer programs. During his college career, he started 84 of 85 matches and held a clear leadership role on the field. In December 2015, he earned a double bachelor’s degree in Economics (with a focus on Statistical Analysis) and Business Management, graduating with a GPA of 3.55, and received multiple individual awards at both the conference and national level.

After graduation, Raby George has worked for over ten years in college recruitment, including leadership roles as Director. He has been instrumental in building and developing the Nordic college recruitment market to its current level. Through this experience, combined with his own college background, he has established one of the industry’s strongest networks with schools and coaches in the USA, spanning a wide range of sports.
